I also really dug the few choice tracks that were on the soundtrack like Anomie Belle's "How can I be Sure" and the Black Angels song. Apparently Anomie Belle got so much press off of the placement that she's releasing the song as an EP and it's streaming here: http://anomiebelle.com/howcani... Pretty damn good I'd say...

Re: Preview of the Week: 02/14/2011

Thanks for the great feedback, Kyle! When I go back to finish this song, I might make it a little longer, and it definitely should have a more appropriate ending.

Re: Preview of the Week: 02/14/2011

I really like the texture you've got here. Reminds me a little bit of VaST but the theme and round structure is distinctly yours. It's a nice progression and feels well-paced. Only exception would be the opening four bars, which feel too spare/protracted. Found myself waiting for more complexity at that point. I'm also not ...entirely... convinced of the ending, but not sure why.

I'd go for an album like this. :)

Re: Blog Tweaks

Ah, right... Even before you were making music, you were compiling music on tapes - remember "LOUD" and "quiet"? I think you have always sensed the world through sound. Thank you for bringing us beauty, depth and passion!

Re: New Song: “Gravitas”

Bravo!
What a wonderful post about self-discovery you've written! It's crazy when things like that have been staring you in the face the whole time, isn't it? I for one am glad that you are a musician. This is where you really shine. Your music is so amazing that a lot of times I forget I'm listening to you, and not someone else. You have grown so much as an artist, and I am happy to see that you are allowing time for introspection as well.

I want you to know that I am around, and that I am behind you 100%!

We may have grown a bit apart lately, but I am so proud of you.

Continue making music, bro. You are right -- music is your life.

Re: Preview of the Week: 01/03/2010

Soren,
This sounds great! But seriously, it is quite nice. It'll be interesting to see how you will use it. May be for a new movie?
